After seeing "Master and Commander" in Saratoga, Peggy and I stopped by Peet's for coffee. Leaving Peet's, I saw this
 on a payphone outside:

The sticker reads:

A visit to the CrimethInc website reveals them to be nasty little collectivist, monkey-wrencher wannabe "anarchists"
who speak what passes for the language of lefty protest nowadays. See their "operating instructions" for deploying these
stickers, where they decry private property. Still, they do this one thing interestingly well, as evidenced by this photo: the
 isolated point they make in this sticker is true.

For half a century these Palestinians were stateless, as they have been in most of the Arab countries to which they fled from 1948 on. Now, they will be provided with passports to gain
them entry at the only frontier willing to accept them: the Israeli crossing point into Palestinian-controlled territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, whether as tourists or to join their
families.

It is inconceivable that Washington and Jerusalem were unaware of the Jordanian intention to
open a back door for 150,000 Palestinians residing in Jordan to consummate their return to Palestinian soil. Hitherto, every Israeli government has objected adamantly to any form of Palestinian refugee repatriation. Even at Oslo, the 1993 agreement between Israeli and Palestinians on Interim Self-Government deferred the refugee issue to final-status negotiations,

 a principle repeated in the 1995 Israel-Palestinian Interim Agreement.

None of the peace treaties between Israel and Jordan, Egypt and the Palestinians, have ever granted the refugees a right of return. It was recognized that the problem of refugees is an unavoidable consequence of war.

For Jordan, it would offer a welcome chance to be rid of disgruntled third-class citizens largely
hostile to the throne, who have been denied the right to travel, open businesses or buy housing
and property, except through rapacious Jordanian middlemen.

If Sharon proves willing to allow this number of Palestinian refugees into Palestinian-controlled
territory ahead of a permanent solution, he would have chalked up an epic departure from
Israel’s conventional negotiating posture.

(IAP News) -- An Israeli professor and military historian hinted that Israel
could avenge the holocaust by annihilating millions of Germans and other Europeans.
Speaking during an interview which was published in Jerusalem Friday,
Professor Martin Van Crevel said Israel had the capability of hitting most European capitals with nuclear weapons.
"We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch
them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European
capitals are targets of our air force."
Creveld, a professor of military history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, pointed out that "collective deportation" was Israel's only meaningful strategy towards the Palestinian people.
"The Palestinians should all be deported. The people who strive for this (the Israeli government) are waiting only for the right man and the right time. Two
 years ago, only 7 or 8 per cent of Israelis were of the opinion that this would
 be the best solution, two months ago it was 33 per cent, and now, according
to a Gallup poll, the figure is 44 percent."
Creveld said he was sure that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon wanted to
deport the Palestinians.
"I think it's quite possible that he wants to do that. He wants to escalate the conflict. He knows that nothing else we do will succeed."
Asked if he was worried about Israel becoming a rogue state if it carried out
a genocidal deportation against Palestinians, Creveld quoted former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan who said "Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother."
Creveld argued that Israel wouldn't care much about becoming a rogue state.
"Our armed forces are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And
 I can assure you that that this will happen before Israel goes under."

I have received a number of letters, some of them quite violent ones, attacking me for my remarks
 on Miss Vera Brittain's anti-bombing pamphlet. There are two points that seem to need further
comment.

First of all there is the charge, which is becoming quite a common one, that "we started it," i.e.
that Britain was the first country to practise systematic bombing of civilians. How anyone can
make this claim, with the history of the past dozen years in mind, is almost beyond me. The first
act in the present war -- some hours, if I remember rightly, before any declaration of war passed
-- was the German bombing of Warsaw. The Germans bombed and shelled the city so
intensively that, according to the Poles, at one time 700 fires were raging simultaneously. They
made a film of the destruction of Warsaw, which they entitled "Baptism of Fire" and sent all round
 the world with the object of terrorising neutrals.

Several years earlier than this the Condor Legion, sent to Spain by Hitler, had bombed one
Spanish city after another. The "silent raids" on Barcelona in 1938 killed several thousand people
 in a couple of days.

Earlier than this the Italians had bombed entirely defenseless Abyssinians  and boasted of their
exploites as something screamingly funny. Bruno Mussolini wrote newspaper articles in which
he described bombed Abyssinians "bursting open like a rose,"  which he said was "most
amusing."  
And the Japanese ever since 1931, and intensively since 1937, have been bombing crowded
Chinese cities where there are not even any ARP arrangements, let alone any AA guns or fighter
aircraft.

I am not arguing that two blacks make a white, nor that Britain's record is a particularly good
one. In a number of "little wars" from about 1920 onwards the RAF has dropped its bombs on
Afghans, Indians and Arabs who had little or no power of hitting back. But it is simply untruthful
 to say that large-scale bombing of crowded town areas, with the object of causing panic, is a
British invention. It was the Fascist states who started this practice, and so long as the air war
went in their favour they avowed their aims quite clearly.

The other thing that needs dealing with is the parrot cry "killing women and children." I pointed
out before, but evidently it needs repeating, that it is probably somewhat better to kill a cross-
section of the population than to kill only the young men. If the figures published by the Germans
are true, and we have really killed 1,200,000 civilians in our raids, that loss of life has probably harmed the German race somewhat less than a corresponding loss on the Russian front or in
Africa and Italy.

Any nation at war will do its best to protect its children, and the number of children killed in raids
probably does not correspond to their percentage of the general population. Women cannot be
protected to the same extent, but the outcry against killing women, if you accept killing at all, is
sheer sentimentality. Why is it worse to kill a woman than a man? The argument usually
advanced is that in killing women you are killing the breeders, whereas men can be more easily
 spared. But this is a fallacy based on the notion that human beings can be bred like animals.
The idea behind it is that since one man is capable of fertilizing a very large number of women,
 just as a prize ram fertilizes thousands of ewes, the loss of male lives is comparatively unimportant. Human beings, however, are not cattle. When the slaughter caused by war leaves
 a surplus of women, the enormous majority of those women bear no children. Male lives are
 very nearly as important, biologically, as female ones.

In the last war the British Empire lost nearly a million men killed, of whome abou;three-quarters
came from these islands. Most of them will have been under thirty. If all those young men had
had only one child each whe should now have en extra 750,000 people round about the age of
twenty. France, which lost much more heavily, never recovered from the slaughter of the last
war, and it is doubtful whether Britain has fully recovered, either. We can't yet calculate the casualties of the present war, but the last one killed between ten and twenty million young men.
Had it been conducted, as the next one will perhaps be, with flying bombs, rockets and other
long-range weapons which kill old and young, healthy and unhealthy, male and female
impartially, it would probably have damaged European civilization somewhat less than it did.

Contrary to what some of my correspondents seem to think, I have no enthusiasm for air raids,
either ours or the enemy's. Like a lot of other people in this country, I am growing definitely tired
of bombs. But I do object to the hypocrisy of accepting force as an instrument while squealing
against this or that individual weapon, or of denouncing war while wanting to preserve the kind
of soceity that makes war inevitable.

...IG Farbin, a consortium of companies that included Bayer, conducted horible experiements
 on concentration camp inmates to discover an "ethnic biological weapon" --a deadly disease
 that would target specific ethnic groups... Drs. funded by the Rockefeller foundation directed
 this research.

In 1957, a scientist who completed his medical training in Nazi-occupied Poland, and who
 was funded by the Rockefeller foundation, injected 300,000 Central African men, women,
and children, with an experimental polio vacine--a vacine that contained a deadly AIDS-like
viruse, monkey HSIV. Years later, Central Africa would become "Ground Zero" for the
AIDS/HIV epidemic...

who kill Americans, and on the morning of 9-11-2001, Bush sr. was in business with the bin

PREJUDICES AGAINST OTHER CULTURES and people have existed for a long
 time and continue to exist. They are mostly based on ignorance. Some prejudices are
innocent, but others are vicious. They can lead  to oppression and persecution.
 Few groups in history have encountered more prejudice than the Jews. In Europe, the
hatred of Jews has its origins in Christianity, a religion rooted in Judaism. Forcenturies,
the Jews were the only religious minority in Christian Europe, often misunderstood and
eyed with suspicion by the population, suppressed by the Church and exploited by the
rulers. Religious intolerance led to discrimination and isolation. A climate developed in
which many legends and myths about Jews and Judaism seemed credible. Some are
still believed today. But despite of persecution and discrimination, Jewish communities
 kept their religious, their social and cultural traditions alive.

This exhibition depicts the history of anti-Jewish attitudes -- and of anti-Semitism today,
a form of intolerance that in our century caused the death of millions of people. The
exhibition also portrays the history of Jews in Europe and in Russia to help understand
their life, religion and culture. But above all, the exhibition wants to warn of the great

 Eating Kool-aid powder and making Kool-aid ice pops Remember
 when...There were two types of sneakers - girls andboys(Keds PF
Flyers) and the only time you wore them at school, was for "gym" It
wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends When nobody owned
a purebred dog When a quarter was a decent allowance, and
another quarter a miracle When you'd reach into a muddy gutter for
a penny When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids
got there It was magic when dad would "remove" his thumb When it
was considered a great privilege to be taken out to dinner at a real
restaurant with your parents When girls neither dated nor kissed
until late high school, if then.

When any parent could discipline any kid, or feed him or use him
 to carry groceries and nobody, not even the kid, thought a thing
of it.

When they threatened to keep kids back a grade if  they failed
and did!

When being sent to the principal's office was nothing compared
to the fate that awaited a misbehaving student at home.

Basically, we were in fear for our lives but it  wasn't because of
drive-by shootings, drugs,gangs, etc. Our parents and grandparents
were a much bigger threat! And some of us are still afraid of them !!!

Didn't that feel good. just to go back and say, Yeah, I remember that!
Remember when... Decisions were made by going "eeny- meeny- miney-mo."

 Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!"

 "Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest
 Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in
"Monopoly" The worst thing you could catch from the opposite  
sex was cooties It was unbelievable that dodgeball wasn't an
Olympic event  Having a weapon in school, meant being caught
with a slingshot Nobody was prettier than Mom Scrapes and
bruises were kissed and made better...
 Taking drugs meant orange-flavored chewable aspirin,Ice cream
 was considered a basic food group Getting a foot of snow was a
dream come true!!

 Abilities were discovered because of a"double-dog-dare"
 Older siblings were the worst tormentors, but also the fiercest
protectors If you can remember most or all of these, then you
 have LIVED!!!!

Pass this on to anyone who may need a break from their "grown up" life...

 I was thinking about my grand mother.
Before she died of cancer she cut off her bardes and gave them to
me I took care of her until she died I was so saddened & depressed
 one day I found her medicine & took it because it had a skull and

Children" I took all 20 of the pills at once figuring they would do the
trick but I passed out and puked on the rug where I fell if that wasn't
enough I got a whipping and a talking to and was grounded which
wasn't much of a punishment because there weren't any kids around
 any way. When my grand Mother was alive she had plenty to say
about life...
