These pages are Under Construction... And so as of now , I am  alone in this project which is OK ...
I can work on this as the Information comes in ...Or I stumble on it.

There are some very old concepts of FLOATINGCITY going back to prehistoric times >>
I don't think of this as SI FI or Futuristic as much as this Sounds like an explanation, it is not .
Just more mumbo jumbo and Mental frippery to fill space and add another dimension  to an already
dizzying collection of stuff not easily dismissed as CRACK POT MUSINGS ....

As far as it goes NASA is OK but ask yourself Is it going to save my life when that 15 or ( some say
much much ) more foot addition to the global tide actually hits ...Us ..........Of all the water on land
rain ,rivers, lakes, streams and ponds added up equals 2% of all of the water on the planet the South
Pole 3miles thick has a volcano beneath it a live volcano and any day Sploop!
That gives me the Hebi Gee Bees but Big Time So get your info web Surfing Chops up & lets See
if all this WWW Cyber Salvation Hype is A tiny tinny bit Real....?
* how many really can actually live in outer space ... how much must the inhabitants of earth
bare . More plundering , It was once proudly stated that Just 60 seconds of rocket thrust " burn "
was sufficient to escape the earths gravitational pull, for the moon shot,it is equal to 100 years
of the calories, it took to build one of the large Pyramids in Egypt.
What a price to pay . Now reckon that in living human terms, no fuel to cook food or warm your family
so burn the forests and starve "we" will be in outer space cha! cha! cha! ...  just try and stop us !
HA! Ha! hA!  60 seconds from now they inject you with an ecomomic ID tag which keeps beeping when
you are out of money  and try to go into a  shop  that reads your price tag  ....
So little time 2 check links

Well we will see what becomes of all this pie in sky ,I think its just the smoke
n mirrors of vapor ware snapping and sizzling in the light of day like a
vampire in the sun .

Here is a tip, Try to understand that to build floating cities, u  need to understand how to build a ship
 or petrolum platafoms.
It's a long way, but I think it's a good idea. If u finish that project,  e-mail me want have you done

The Atlantis Project is dedicated to the goal of establishing a new country named Oceania
. This country will be devoted to the  value of freedom, and will first exist as a sea city in the Caribbean.
As no collectivist nation is likely to sell us the land we need,   we will build an island out of concrete and steel.
At this point, the organization behind this new country, The Atlantis Project,   is building the necessary financial resources to pay off past debts and to pay for the completed model of Oceania. Once this
task is completed, The Atlantis Project will go into full gear and go well beyond its peak reached in early

1994 when it was   covered by media across the U.S. and the world -- including the BBC, the Miami Herald,
the Art Bell Show, Boating  magazine,
   and Details magazine.

THE WORLD'S SOUTHERNMOST ACTIVE VOLCANO  http://www.ees.nmt.edu/Geop/erebus.html
Mt. Erebus

                                                       Antarctica

 SUMMARY:

 Type: composite cone with caldera
 Activity: active
 Last Eruption: 1995 A.D.
 Rock Type: ?
 Eruptive Volume: ? cu km
 Location Map from Xerox PARC
 Latitude: 77.58 S
 Longitude: 167.17 E

 GEOLOGIC HISTORY

Erebus, the world's southernmost historically active volcano, overlooks the McMurdo
research station on Ross Island. The summit has been modified by several
generations of caldera formation. The glacier-covered volcano was erupting when first
sighted in 1841 and has had an active lava lake in its summit crater since late
 1972.

 Historic Activity: Know eruptions in 1841, 1900 (?), 1908, 1911, 1912, 1915, 1947,
1955, and 1963.

Recent Activity: Mt. Erebus has been in continuous eruption since 1972 when a
small lava lake 200 feet in diameter formed in the summit crater. A major increase
in the size and number of strombolian eruptions occurred in Sept. to Dec. 1984
and buried the lake with ejecta. Since Dec. 1984, activity has reverted to daily mild
strombolian eruptions. Observations in Dec. 1986 showed a small lava lake 60 feet
long and several associated smaller lakes and vents. Activity remained the same
in Dec. 1987. Decreasing activity in summit crater with lava lake reduced to three
small pools and rare Strombolian eruptions. Occational Strombolian eruptions
from two small lava lakes in late 1989 and early 1990. Visit in Jan. 1991 reported
two small convecting lava lakes and Strombolian eruptions. Visit in late 1995
confirmed continued existence of lava lake.

Papers are listed in order of publication. The latest papers will be added at the top
of the list. Each paper
will be presented in two formats; as a single scrollable page, with illustrations included as inline images; and
split into multiple shorter pages, with links to images. The first form is intended primarily for those who
wish to print a copy of the paper. The paper should be easier to read online in the second format. In order
to view a paper, simply click on its title.

In order to view the extended abstract or full text of a paper you will need to be a subscriber. Each
subscriber will be given a username and password to allow them access. In order to give a feel for the
style of presentation, there is an example paper, which was originally published in 'Permafrost and
Periglacial Processes'.

GGG is seeking papers http://ggg.qub.ac.uk/papers/frame.htm

GGG is currently seeking original, unpublished, material of a high standard. All papers received will be
refereed as quickly as is possible, consistent with maintaining high academic standards. Once refereed and
accepted, papers should normally be published within a matter of days.
